Today’s spotlights are directed on a woman who, in our opinion, best embodies the very essence of the Amalfi Coast: GIOVANNA D’AMATO, WEDDING CELEBRANT, AMALFI COAST.
What emotions is she able to stir up while celebrating an event in the unique scenery of the area? The same ones the visitors are overwhelmed with on their first arrival here.
Her discreetly helpful presence, her gentle ways, her welcoming smile are no less charming than the sound of the wedding bells, no less warm than sunbeams, no less penetrating then the lemon fruit scent, so that her celebrations become pure poetry in a perfect frame which is evermore exalted by the heartfelt words she addresses to the spouses with.
Hers are words which tell of the traditions, of the beauty, of the melodies, of the tasty typical recipes, of the artistic patrimony of this land blessed by God in many a way…. Words revealing how deeply-rooted she is in the territory and how strongly she would have everyone fall in love with it….. And the listeners are mesmerized by both her voice and the splendour of the landscape.
We were not born here actually, we live inland though not so far away, but now we feel somehow like foster-children of the Amalfi Coast mainly thanks to her, Since our first meeting she made us feel most welcome guests, then gradually close friends and finally, at present, we Do feel at home, whether we are in Amalfi, or in Positano or Ravello or in any other of the cosy little so typical coastal towns.
